Marco Susani is an Italian architect and designer. Susani enrolled at the Domus Academy in Milan in 1984—the year of its foundation—gaining a Master in Industrial Design. He began his career with Ettore Sottsass, first at the Olivetti Design Studio and then at Sottsass Associati, where Susani became a partner. He took part in the “Luci Lights” exhibition staged by the Memphis Group in 1988. Susani has worked as an independent designer since 1993 and has been director of the Domus Academy Research Centre since 1994. He collaborates with major international companies specialized in communications, technology, and interior design. In 2010, together with Defne Koz, he founded the Koz Susani Design Studio. Susani’s works have been exhibited at the Triennale di Milano (1985,1992), at the Center G. Pompidou in Paris (1986,1991), the Axis Gallery in Tokyo (1993), and at the Grand Palais in Paris (1993). He has given lectures and seminars at Les Atelier in Paris, the Faculty of Architecture of the RMIT Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin and the Domus Academy in Milan.
