Three major exhibitions to describe and interpret forty years of Italian history. Having in art the focal point, however, inserting artistic expressions in the cultural, social and economic context of decades that have proved crucial for Italy: those from 1947 to 1989, from the immediate post-war period to the fall of the Berlin Wall. These were the years of reconstruction after one of the most devastating wars, but also of the celebrated “Italian miracle”, the years of protest and terrorism, the complex years of the Cold War. However, these were also fundamental years for understanding what Italy is today, in the economy, in politics and, in its way, also in art.
